3.5 starsSuch a cute story!A crocodile shifter and an adorable klutzy geek, a little thrill, humor, and magnetic attraction. Enough said. “I'm just here to get my internship credits so I can graduate. I'm not here to be eaten by rabid crocodiles."Craig frowned at him, wondering if he should re-think his crush. "Crocodiles can't get rabies. What kind of student are you?""I know that. I was using hyperbole," Grady protested.

Offered for FREE from the M/M Romance Group.Cute and funny short story with a HFN ending, would have liked if it went a little longer though. It was Grady and Craig's klutzy and chaos filled first meeting, although I thought they would at least explain why the other croc's were acting so strange.

I love M/M romances that are on the lighter side and this fits the bill! It was funny, sweet, and a great between-books short. Thanks J. Rocci for the free read!

The humor was the best part of this wonderful short story! I loved the unconventional shifter plot and especially the insight into how it happened. In my opinion, this was an exceptionally creative take on the picture prompt. How can you not like a hot, naked guy caked in mud who can kiss like a dream and has a little hidden special talent? Well, I couldn’t resist falling for him! ;)

"Actually, this was a pretty good day. He settled in to bask, since the sun's rays felt twice as toasty reflected off the white paint job, like a little Easy Bake Oven. Perfect."

2.5Liked the novelty of a Crocodile shifter and there were some good ideas here, only it's very short which left it feeling underdeveloped. Everything came together too quickly at the end, the characters had only just met and it's a strong HFN.

Who would think that the best day you ever had would be making out in a truck with a were-crocodile? For that matter, I'd never even considered that a were-animal could be a crocodile, much less a gay one, but these elements certainly make the story unique. This creature is very unusual indeed. The were-croc's name is Craig and it's quite entertaining to be privy to his thoughts on life as a were-crocodile, having him explain things which we would never even think about like where he has to live [...]

Cute story, but it needed to be longer to fully develop. Which is my complaint about most short stories, and why I read so few of them. But J Rocci is a favorite author so I figured it was worth a shot. :)

I enjoy the non-standard shifter stories, and this one was very sweet. I really liked the how of Craig becoming a were-crocodile too. That was a great touch. 3.5 stars.

2.5 star review by Lily “Crocodylus Acutus” had a lot of potential to be a captivating M/M paranormal romance but somehow ended up being just an OK romance for me.The synopsis was breath taking so I felt really excited that I finally found a paranormal romance story with a refreshingly different plot. My mind instantly went to this image where a were-croc was rushing to rescue a human male from other crocs…wow! I felt really tickled to no end with the image in my head that after rescuing t [...]

I LOVED it. This story was sweet, charming and completely loveable. J. Rocci did a great job introducing us to Craig and Grady. The premise of a were-crocodile was a very pleasant change from the were-creatures I usually read. I also like how it was explained. Please continue this story. I'd love to read about what happens after their encounter at the Everglade. Why did the crocs go after Craig and Grady so persistently? Is Grady Craig's mate? How does this effect Craig? Craig isn't the only wer [...]

I loved the idea of a were-croc. I came across this fun little read as a free read and was intrigued enough to give it a go. Even though it was super short at about 23 pages, it was worth reading for the wonderful humor and characters.Adult read

This was so darned cute I just wanted to hug my Kindle. Craig the where croc has a laid back attitude towards life and a sense of humor that made me laugh out loud. Yes, I would have loved to have more of this character and his new flame, but for a free short, it was perfect.

This is a short M/M shifter short story. It is probably too short, it would have born more development easily, but it lacks neither fun nor romantic moments thanks to its likeable, goofy leads. Writing is professional, editing satisfying.
