Finally, the fifth book in the Deadly series by Jaycee Clark. I am one of those people who have waited years for Quinlan's story. Quin's brothers kidnap him for a New Orleans vacation and while there he meets blue-haired Ella and they sneak off to Vegas and get married. Almost right away Ella decides it was a mistake and they end up apart. Until Ella calls Quin for help and he rushes to New Mexico.I was actually a tad disappointed in this one. I think the way the story went from past to present [...]

I had a hard time finishing this book because of the plot and the characters. The hero is the youngest brother and dull throughout the book and so is the heroine. He hasn't been dealing with the events of the last book well so his brothers take him to New Orleans where he meets the blue haired heroine. It's insta-connection and they end up married. The heroine acts stupid and bails and doesn't tell the hero she is pregnant until her baby is stolen. Honestly, the heroine acted stupid as hell, her [...]

Pretty ridiculous but the story did flow wellI've enjoyed this series so far, but I think Im ready to call it quits. The unrealistic scenerios just keep getitng more far fetched. This was probably my least favorite so far, because I never really felt the connection to the hero and heroine. Going from the past to present repeatedly became tiring. I do have to say, even though I wasn’t emotionally invested with the characters, Jaycee Clark knows how to make an exciting plot and storyline. While [...]

Jaycee Clark´s Kinncaid Brothers series is hot hot hot and this latest is no exception. In this book we get to dive into the youngest of the brothers, Quinlan, as we watch him fall for an odd girl with blue hair. Odd and flighty! You can expect a lot of drama and suspense interlaced with anger and heartbreak. At times I just wanted to shake some sense into Ella even though I knew she was going through a lot. I personally didn't buy into her reasons for being so flighty but I still enjoyed this [...]

I have really enjoyed this series of the Kinncaid Brothers by Jaycee Clark and when I started book five I was a little hesitant as Quinlan had not inspired a lot of excitement in me to date. Jaycee did not disappoint, however, with Quinlan and Ella’s story and I was left on the edge of my seat through most of the book. I truly felt my heart pounding at several points in the story and fell in love with the lead characters. What a great ending to the series!

3.5 Stars – Deadly Secrets is an adult contemporary romantic suspense thriller by Jaycee Clark and the 5th book in her Deadly (Kinncaid Brothers) series. The youngest of five boys, Quinlan Kinncaid learned years ago that it took too much energy to fight off his four older siblings than it did to just go with the flow. His brothers all have their own home, their own families to fill them, and what does he have? A permanent limp. A job he doesn't enjoy anymore. An empty bed that he has no desire [...]

And I completely ignored every single thing I needed to do in my life to read/listen to it because I absolutely could not pull myself away from this story. Wow was just so good!!This book is written completely different from the others as there are events happening in present day and events happening in the past all in conjunction i [...]

Deadly Secrets is the 5th installment from the Kinncaid Brothers series. I loved this book. It was filled with lots of twists and turns, and very emotional scenes. It was also fast paced and action packed. This one touched on human trafficking and illegal baby selling operation.Quinlan’s story actually started at the end of Ian’s book Deadly Games and continues on.Emotionally ruined by his injuries Quin has shut down from everyone including his own family. He doesn’t trust women and is cle [...]

Can you say AWESOME……I started reading the 1st books in this series (they can be read in order or as stand alones) 5:54pm Friday and by 7:29am Monday morning I had finished the 5th book. Yes I barely left the house all weekend and I was late for work Monday! This romantic suspense series has fantastic characters, the author has made them come alive. As you read these books you immerse yourself into the characters’ lives, you become vested in them overcoming obstacles, defeating the bad guys [...]

WOW! I didn't think Quin's tale would be as interesting as any of his brother's especially after just finishing Ian's saga. But O how wrong I was. My interest was peeked from the beginning, my heart was racing in the middle, and almost stopped beating in the end. What a great ride! I cannot wait for Deadly Beginnings.

Quinlan is the youngest brother and a bit boring. The switching back and forth in time was hard for me not to mention the girl was just plain stupid.

This has been a great series. I am sorry to have read the final book about the Kinncaid Brothers. This is Quinlan's story and it is good. The beginning was good, the middle sucked, but the ending came close to redeeming the thing. Overall, 3.5 stars. Not great, but any book that makes me cry and feel isn't all bad. Just beware of all the angst through the middle.Quinlan almost died in the last book and he is living with pain and a permanent limp. He is also living with the fact that he seriously [...]

I'm quite interested that some other reviewers didn't enjoy this one as much as others in the series and how they commented less positively about Ella; I really connected with her for some reason and for me she was one of the best things about the story. I felt less certain about Quin - I feel like his character could have been developed further as there were some tantalising comments about his art and something that happened to him as a child that never got expanded on and I would have liked to [...]

I read this as part of The Deadly Series Boxed Set.I found Quin to be pretty dull in the previous books, so my expectations were low. Turns out I liked it much better than I expected, almost as much as Ian's book, which was my favorite. This book (as with Ian's) is much more focused on the suspense than the romance. It kept me interested the whole time. Ian was in this book quite a bit and that helped!I thought I would hate Ella (I hate secret pregnancy story lines), but she took responsibility f [...]

If you've read the first four books - you must read Quinlan's story. I was really looking forward to this one and I have to say i was disappointed in how things played out for him. I liked Ella for him, but she treated him pretty crappy and he didn't deserve that. He gets kicked down over and over by her. She marries him and leaves him the next day, then he pursues her and she still ends up telling him she doesn't want to be married, then she doesn't tell him she's pregnant, then when she finall [...]

Quinlan Kinnakade is mad and depressed because he was lured by a psychopath into almost killing his family and causing him to have a disabled leg from a bullet wound. His brothers decide to take him on a forced vacation to New Orleans where he meets a blue haired beauty named Ella. Within a few days they are married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator. Nine months later when Ella is in danger and pregnant she calls him for help. Can he save her and his baby? Another hit by Jaycee Clark! I do n [...]

I thought it would be better. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but there was something that was wrong. The backcover story led me to think something else entirely different, but the story was really simple. All was a big misunderstanding. The heroine was too whinny, even if why she was so, at least in the last part of the book, was understandable. But at the biginning I thought that she would be different, that she would be pro-active and strong. Instead she just fell short and become a soft damis [...]

I had high hopes for this book after the excellent previous book in the series, but the heroine was seriously TSTL. Honestly, I wanted to kill her myself. The book jumps around timelines irritatingly. I felt the author did this merely to try and keep the reader interested in finding out what happens, because the characters themselves were not sufficient to retain reader interest. Don't bother with this one.

The feel of this book is so different from the previous 4 books in the series. Quinlan was hurt both mentally and physically and having a tough time dealing with previous events. His brothers and cousin take him to New Orleans to unwind and boy does he! He meets Ella and his world is turned upside down. They both make mistakes and have to seek common ground and their love again to find the most important person to them both.

I just finished all five of this series and I have to say while I wanted to read Quinlan's story forever this was probably my least favorite in the entire series. I think that somewhere the "true Quinlan" got lost.

I found this book exactly like Ian's story the first half of the book I couldn't get into but when I did it was ok. I didn't like how you kept going backwards then forwards. This was my least favourite of the series.
