I have a problem with the book: yet again, it's half the story. This is a highly worrying trend. I'm being asked to pay more for much shorter books, and when I get ones that aren't priced at $8.99 (5.99** for this one, 4.99 for Special Needs) they are only HALF THE STORY.The half the story I read is quite interesting. I am seriously in heart with the secondary character, Stan, and will fight off both MCs and Simsala for him, using broken bottles and my teeth if needs beMay I point out Special Del [...]

Rating this quickly before I`ll recover from the shock and come back to my sensesThis book is one huge gathering of pet-peeves and I gobbled it up like there`s no tomorrow.I don`t even know why I bought it - it wasn`t the blurb or the cover, unknown author on top of that - it must have been a vibead me!I had some eye-blinking moments - "huhwhere does that come from?" - as I read the book, because I kinda misunderstood the blurb. And that`s my problem now, because describing all main-characters in [...]

First of all, the blurb is a bit misleading since it reads as if this book were about Jon and Danny. Well, one the one hand, it is, but there’s a very important person missing, namely Stan, Jon’s business partner, ex-lover and ex-Dom. Dom extraordinaire, as a matter of fact–imperious gaze, scary domineering powers, omniscience and all-alpha-maleness included. Which means, the story turns into some kind of sort of threesome at some point. If this isn’t your thing, you might want to stay c [...]

There is a hell of a lot of what-the-? going on here. It's so twisty and layered that its quite possible to dislike both protagonists for much of the narrative. They are both selfish, bored, extremely indulged by those around them, and of course, as expected, restless, lacking in meaning and searching for more.Although they find each other quite early, both Jon and Danny are not quite up to taking the risks that will be required to achieve the intimacy they both secretly desire. So they tumble alon [...]

Did not particularly take to the author's writing style. The first half was supposed to have funny moments which I didn't find funny at all. Not my cup of tea, I guess. Just didn't feel any connection with the characters whatsoever. Will not be getting the second book.

So at the core of this story is a bdsm relationship or I should say relationships. Different from the usual but I am afraid not to my liking. The instant love thing between Jon and Dan is silly. I especially find it hard to accept the last part when both Jon and Dan spiral out of control. I don't get Jon's character, whom I find rather lame. Is he at heart a Dom or Sub ? What is this with Stan's role which I find under developed when this character is in fact important to the crazy relationships [...]

Left with a cliffhanger?!? wtf?!? Can't really say that I loved either Danny or Jon in this story. They were both rather annoying for the first half of the book. The book is also written in metaphors and maybe it's just me but I like things spelled out a little more. I don't want to have to think that much. (I realize that is a sad thing, so what!) I didn't even realize Jon and Stan sold BDSM implements until much later than I was suppose to. It just finally clicked for me. I thought I was getti [...]

2.5*Most of this book was a long and drawn way out. To me Jon isn't Dom material and Danny is out of control. Maybe if Stan would have been brought into the relationship at the halfway point of the book it might have been a better read for me. Just didn't work for me.
