Check out my review on bonfirebooks.wordpress 201This book, much like the first, was disappointing I still struggled to connect to any of the characters as I didn t feel like they were real people I found the beginning of the book very slow and the traditional start of a simple story arc However, towards the end the action and suspense picked up, but unfortunately, the plot was over developed and there was too much going on This cause me to get extremely confused at times and I really wanted to [...]

Great read would definitely recommend it It is the sequel to Split Second and picks up protagonists Nat and Charlie on the run and joining up with a resistance movement in order to try to expose evil politician Roman Riley, before he wins the upcoming general election. It s very similar to the first in the series, in that it is told in the first person with short chapters alternating between Nat and Charlie s point of view As with the first book, I found this device made the plot fast paced and i [...]

Every Second Counts is an action packed, non stop adventure, mystery thriller and romance This story will keep you on the edge of your seat until you finish the very last page It s the second book in the series the sequel to In A Split Second While this book can be read as a stand alone novel, I wouldn t recommend it I would recommend reading the books in order as Every Second Counts starts right off where the first book ended and it can get confusing if you if you haven t read In A Split Second [...]

Gripping, a real page turner and thoroughly enjoyable It has been a good few months since I read Split Second and was very excited to read Every Second Counts I liked the fact that it gave a little summary of all that had happened in the previous book and stated where the characters were now It was a very gripping novel and what I really like about Sophie McKenzie s writing style is that she switches between the perspectives of two characters, much like in Blood Ties and Blood Ransom The tension [...]

Every Second Counts, the sequel to Split Second, picks up where the first book finishes We follow Nat and Charlie on the run Branded terrorists, they are down but not out as they are trying to find the resistance movement I don t want to say too much in fear of spoilers, however, Every Second Counts was just as good as Split Second It has the same intensity that grips you and doesn t let go until you ve finished the whole book The level of danger, however, increased tenfold in Every Second Count [...]

The sequel to Split Second continues the fast paced adventure and really ramps up the tension as Charlie and Nat go on the run and take on charismatic but dangerous politician terrorist Riley It wasn t quite as enjoyable as the first book, partly because of the twists and layers as the truth about Riley was revealed and the development of the relationship between Charlie and Nat, which in this sequel is put on hold somewhat The political situation is quite scary as it is set in the near future a [...]

In the second book in the series Every Second Counts, Charlie and Nat are on the run after being accused falsely of being terroists They go on the run and join a resistance group in order to expose an evil politician before he can win the election.Again the book was faced paced and easy to read and ended with a satisfying conclusion For me it was enjoyable as it left out all the romantic slushy stuff which normally spoils the story in my view All in all a good books that I would highly recommen [...]

A good conclusion, a thriller through the streets of London, find out what happens with all the characters Not as good as the first book though, this one was a lot of running backwards and forwards but it didn t feel rushed. It does make you think though, there s a lot of talk recently about random parties popping up all over the place, some extremist than others, but if the economy becomes very bad in the future, could this be a possible future Very thought provoking Politics of the future I lo [...]

I really annoyed the first book and was obviously really excited to return to this world and see some awesome character developmentI found it very annoying and repetitive Plus there were a few spelling mistakes, a lot of grammatical errors and even some punctuational errors Good idea for a way for the story to go but the end felt extremely rushed and I feel as if the whole novel could have been executed in a better way.

A pretty good book once you get into it, but I felt that the only character i could connect with was Spider Also, the plot got very confusing and hard to follow in the 2nd half of the book But the plot was good overall and it was full of action
