"Daring the Moon" is an OK contemporary werewolf story by Sherrill Quinn. I would have enjoyed it more if the story had been a bit tighter.Taite is running from a stalker and a ?werewolf?. Both she and her friend are positive that's what they sawa manwho turned into a wolfman. When her buddy suggests a visit to his college pal who is an expert on werewolves, Taite figures why not? Her immediate and strong attraction to the ruggedly handsome author becomes complicated when those chasing her arriv [...]

Fairly nice middle of the road werewolf read. It could have been more tightly plotted with a little more thought put to the world building. The emotions between the hero and heroine were not as solid as they could have been. I didn't really feel the love. Kudos though to the author for making the heroine scared at first and really having to put some thought into accepting him once she knew.I am interested enough to continue with the series but I was able to put this down and read 3 books in the [...]

Daring the Moon got 4★ from me b/c I liked the characters and, for that reason, will most likely check out book 2, Seducing the Moon to read Declan's story. But, this story rates closer to 3 ★ for me b/c the "mystery" was too easy to solve and very early on.The story starts off with Taite, an investigator with the Pima County Attorney's Office, rebuffing the flirtations of a co-worker/attorney, John Sumner, who she previously dated, but felt no connection. For some unknown reason, assuming it [...]

I love werewolf books and for months I've seen this in my bookstore and picked it up and put it down countless times but finally caved as it was 3 for 2 on all paperbacks and I wanted to try a different author. It takes a lot of ruffle Taite Gibson, investigator with the Pima County Attorney's Office. But the enormous, snarling werewolf that's stalking her through the streets of Tucson? Yeah, that oughta do it.Those terrifying attacks convince Taite to seek out her old friend Declan O'Connal who [...]

The plot is very erotic! I liked this book it very quick easy read with lots of hot sex, but that’s really all it is to it. The mystery is one you get in the middle of the book. I liked Taite she is stubborn at times, but with everything going on in her life she has the right to be. I liked Rider, he has lived on the island, so long by himself you know what he is in need for, plus he gets to be the hero. But I found Taite and Rider together hard to swallow they seemed rushed and missing that p [...]

Crazy as it soon and unbelievable as it is, she's being stalked by a freaking werewolf. She confides in her best friend about her problems, [...]

This book has a great story line and kept me intrigued until the last page. It was my first werewolf book and I may be hooked now. The only downside was the irritating main woman. She literally pissed me off sometimes to a point where I wished the men would have seriously thrown her to the wolves. Her insistence and constant nagging "to know" during the most dire times, made me want someone to throat punch her. Other than herI loved the book.

Lovely Taite's being stalked by a werewolf and best bud Declan decides they need the help of Declan's old school chum Ryder, a sexy reclusive Brit author, to find out how to fend of the fiend. Of course Ryder's knowlege is a bit more first hand than he's ready to let on. When they invade his home Ryder should really should send them on their way, because Ryder can't afford to let their research reveal his own secrets - but Taite's scent brings him to his knees and he can't help but say 'mine'. I really tried to enjoy this book. When the story even ventured from paranormal to just plain wacky, I kept pushing myself to finish it. Do you know how hard it is to finish a book when it is not just clicking for you? Well, this book took me much longer to read than normal because it was one of those books that just didn't bring enjoyment to me.The only character I truly enjoyed in this book was Cobb. Yes, the butler is the one highlight of this book that made me even consider finishing it. Tai [...]

I read Daring the Moon because I wanted to read a shifter romance. In its bare elements the book met those qualifications. Woman is in danger, she seeks the help of sexy mystery man – who happens to be a werewolf. The story was engaging, but it felt like the characters actions were led in the direction the plot needed to go – they didn’t seem organic to the characters themselves. I think I read the book for the best friend more than I did the main romance. I didn’t really like the graphi [...]

I liked the plot it was wonderfully written and I couldn't get enough of the story. The werewolf part got to be to long for me. It was a tug of war between monster and not a monster. The heroine was to whiny for me at times I was like someone bet her already or something. I know tit was scary I felt the emotions through the book but come on the guy proved it time and again. Basically in the end the story balanced out however not enough for me to give it any more than 3 stars.

Had I not needed this book for a challenge I would have dnf'ed it. I found the whole situation to be a little preposterous and had a hard time buying into things. Taite was a little TSTL for me, for most of the book, Ryder an ass, Declan and Cobb I actually liked. It seemed like the whole thing with Ryder's cousin got dropped at the end. I may or may not read the next in the series as it centers around Declan.

another one bites the dust. I just can't read or listen to any more of this. at 40% the identity of the stalker, referred to as "the admirer" is obvious, as is the stalker's true identity. pretty ho him. while I do enjoy the way the female character enjoys exercise, there was nothing else I liked. who says they are looking for flotsam? flotsam? so, on to something else.

It has happened. I am starting to like shape shifter books. Between this one and the Jaguar Prince I am just about sold on well done shifters books. I really enjoyed reading this and can't wait to grab the next in the series.

A dark, haunting story with artfully crafted werewolves. It's spine-tingling in more ways than one, and the heat level is scorching. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Main characters were weaker than I like. They "fell" in love rather quickly and without much reason/passion. The plot was ok, but cliche.
