Hiding one's identity is needed when one's sexual escapades are frowned upon by the stuffy business establishment. Miranda Cahill is working on her doctorate in English literature. Her chosen PhD subject is out of the ordinary. She postulates the erotic in Victorian times are firsthand accounts, not porn. Other scholars look down upon her because this is not "real literature".I found this book to be very well written. Ms. Sarari does a fabulous job of showing the conflicts between personal and p [...]

2.5 Stars, 5 FlamesBy day Miranda is a demure, conservative doctorate student working on her Victorian Erotica thesis. By night, she is a sex kitten who is eager to explore her voracious sexual appetite. Sounds pretty amazing right? Yeah, captured my attention right out the gate. goodness, i finished this ages ago & forgot to mark it as read. i enjoyed this very much. the combo of literary references & homage to Victorian erotica was quite lovely. loved the pure range of sexual encounters. such a delightful romp. i would have given it 5/5 if we had stayed away from the romance & just had the characters experience pure lust. "more raunch, less romance" is my mantra.

Lisabet Sarai writes some of the hottest, smartest erotica around and this book is no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed both the sex and characterization in this well-written novel.

It definitely kept me interested but it was a little too raunchy for me at times.

Miranda was 'burned' by her first lover and has had a problem ever since. If she is attracted to someone, then she freezes up and can't speak or interact without being wooden. She is researching Victorian stories from an unusual angle, and manages to draw their influence into her own life, sometimes with crazy risks. Mark is interested in Miranda, but is prepared to give her space to sort out her issues. Will he be as understanding when her activities come to light? This is a very enjoyable and w [...]
