Wow, this series just keeps getting better and better! This was an excellent part of what is shaping up to be an excellent series, from crazy cousins to an epic fight scene, this book was wonderful.Abby is once again back to sleuthing and she's great at it. I think one of my favorite parts about Abby and this series is the fact that Abby knows that she doesn't know everything. In this book she makes some mistakes, and when they're pointed out to her she doesn't complain of shove the blame on som [...]

In Kate Collins's Dearly Depotted, the first installment in the Flower Shop Cozy Mystery series, this cozy will intrigue you from the first page to the last. It all started when Abby's cousin Jillian had cold feet for her wedding. Before she could get to the altar, she needed to talk some sense into her cousin. And when she does tie the knot, that's when things erupted in mayhem. Outside of the gazebo, her uncle had gotten into a fight with his daughter's no-good boyfriend, Jack Snyder. And when [...]

Abby's neurotic cousin, Jillian, is finally getting married and Abby has agreed to do the flowers and be a bridesmaid. She wasn't counting on dead bodies. But when the groom's grandmother discovers one under a table, Abby jumps in to investigate. The police already have a suspect - her friend's new boyfriend. But Abby thinks they are too quick to draw conclusions. Oh, and what's going on with her hottie escort? This is the third in a fun series. I enjoyed this one and the others, but I just don't [...]

2.5 Stars Jack Snyder is not a nice guy and Abby finds him dead at her annoying cousin's wedding. Another body shows up and Abby is all for finding out what happened. Book #1 I loved. The plot to book #2 really didn't catch me so I skipped it and for some reason I really didn't care too much about this one. I really liked Abby and in this book she was kinda annoying. I really liked the Grandma of Abby's ex. She was pretty funny. Abby and Marco are ALMOST there to hook up but things always end up [...]

The 3rd book in the Flower Shop Mystery Series. Fun and light read. Not quite to the fun level of Janet Evanovich - but in the ballpark.

This one has all the makings of a great book and succeeds--PG-rated language, a smart and sassy heroine, and a twisty plot. I was left guessing "whodunit" until the very last pages. I will definitely be checking out more books from the author, Kate Collins, to continue reading about the adventures of Abby Knight, Florist Shop owner/law school drop out.

Eventually I will get these books read in order. But until then I will just enjoy reading them. Excellent author with super characterizations that continue from book to book - no sudden changes. Just great stories, very vivid setting. a touch or romance always hinted at, gentle mysteries and fun to read.

I enjoyed this third novel in the Flower Shop Mystery series by Kate Collins. Abby is a likable character, and the same is true for her love interest Marco. The ending of this story surprised me, though I'm not looking forward to more of Abby's cousin Jillian in the next story. Jillian is one character who serves to annoy more than anything else.

sigh(view spoiler)[Predictable and standard. The series has a formula and sticking to it. Abby has learned nothing, no character progression at all.Other characters are pointing out things she needs to work on, and Abby claims to be working on itbut we all know how her promise not to meddle worked out. It seems like their is never any character progression in these kinds of books and that really kills it. Oh, people like this so let's keep it going. Really? Do you know what happened to Stephan [...]

In the third book in the Flower Shop Mystery series, Abby's cousin Jill FINALLY makes it to the alter (thank GOD!). However, drama ensues (shocking): a fight breaks out during the vows, the vows get delayed, the city's Fourth of July fireworks go on as planned meaning the vows get drowned out by the noise (rude!), and during the reception a dead body is found behind the pulpit.Normally, Grace (one of Abby's employees) implores Abby not to meddle, but this time Grace all but begs Abby to get invo [...]

I guess I'm just getting attached to the characters. Abby Knight is as irritatingly impulsive and is frustratingly stirring up trouble as always. Sometimes you want to shake her because she never learns and keeps letting her mouth get her in over her head. Thankfully she always has Marco and Reilly to come save the day. However despite Abby's many flaws, I really am enjoying this series and characters. I love her quirky family that she doesn't quite fit in with. I enjoy the relationship she has w [...]

Another solid offering to Kate Collins' Flower Shop Mysteries. Poor Abby has her hands full as the fourth of July draws closer. A party to which she is committed to provide flowers and her wacky cousin Jillian's wedding to Abby's former fiance's brother, Claymore. On the bright side, all the work will mean some solid payment coming in. If only she didn't have to deal with her partner's hormone-crazed teenage son threatening to upset the harmony in a happily married household and that pesky dead [...]

Two things I love in a book are a good mystery and a feisty heroine, and this book has both in spades. Abby is slated to be the maid of honor in her cousin Julian's wedding. She is also providing the flowers from her floral shop, bloomers. As if that wasn't enough responsibility, she also has to make sure that her cousin doesn't become a runaway bride and that the grandma of the groom doesn't cause any trouble. While Abby is distracted with sexy groomsman stand-in, bar owner and part-time private [...]

I wish I could do ample justice to praising Dearly Depotted. Every superlative that I could use has already been employed by others, or by me, but in other reviews. I'll keep this one simple. First, it's sometimes a bonus when the murderer is a sympathetic woman. 'Cherchez la femme' and all that. I can't explain why, not really. The recurring cast of this series are till now beyond blame, yet I still could not guess the culprit among the few new people. And I was amused by the Grace character be [...]

Unfortunately, the wedding is marred by a murder, and Abby once again steps in as the boyfriend of her good friend Grace becomes a suspect.I like this series. It has a slight 'Stephanie Plum' feel to the series, but it does not overwhelm. To call these "flower shop mysteries" seems a bit of a misnomer the main character owns a flower shop. She's not often at work, and the mysteries have nothing to do with flowers. Flowers are mentioned more in each subsequent book, but they are not a main theme. But they are light, easy reads. Fun characters you get to know a little better in each book. Very pg - no sex, no gore. They are improbable, as most cozy mysteries are, but not ridiculous. Well, the time line might be a little ridiculous i [...]
